Graphic Designer (Part-Time)

Reboot is on the hunt for a top-notch Graphic Designer who can help us craft sharp, savvy, internal and client-project design solutions. You will embrace our unique vision and be driven by a desire to leverage their design skills for social impact, locally and globally. You have extensive experience designing for print and web, and can confidently present complex data and concepts in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
Our ideal candidate is one with direct design experience in agency or freelance work, who knows the ins and outs of preparing work for client eyes with keen attention to detail and polish. You should be excited about bringing your design prowess to the work of hard-hitting world betterment, and be jazzed about contributing to growing team of inspiring change-makers.
This is a 3-month, part-time opportunity to start, but if you’ve got the chops, there is potential for full-time employment thereafter.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute, from start to finish, to the creative visual design process for various internal and client projects.
- Create clear, compelling ways to present complex concepts and to illustrate qualitative and quantitative data.
- Create illustrations and infographics to accompany content for client projects.
- Contribute to the development of in-house brand materials such presentations, proposals, web-material, etc.
- Design and produce lengthy publications and web materials
Qualifications:
- A brazen aesthete with a proven ability to tell compelling stories through visual means
- Great attention to detail
- The ability to clearly and effectively explain your design process and, if necessary, defend your design decisions to both your own team and to external collaborators and clients.
- Demonstrated ability to transform complex data into persuasive infographics
- Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Familiarity with Lightroom, Adobe Bridge, AfterEffects or Final Cut Pro is a plus.
- Experience with WordPress and front-end web design preferred
- Comfortable with a fast-paced callaborative environment – ability to work under tight time constraints. Can multitask with ease, manage ambiguity, and adapt to frequently changing priorities.
- A self-starter who can stay on task without direction, and also take initiative when necessary.
- A team-oriented positive approach and genuine interest in contributing our multi-disciplinary team of delightful people.
You will be working out of our lovely office in downtown Manhattan. This role requires a 25-hour per week commitment, and the ideal candidate will be able to work on-site three days a week.
