Social Media & Communications Intern
Reboot is a social enterprise working to improve governance and international development. Around the world, we are pioneering new models of engagement between citizens and public institutions. We help governments, international donors, NGOs, and others to become more responsive to the communities they serve.
We are seeking a world class communications wizard to help bring our “people first” vision of good governance to a global audience. The Social Media & Communications Intern will be a core member of Reboot’s budding communications team, expected to write press-ready copy, drive social media engagement, and keep an ear to the ground on the conversations influencing our industry.
Our ideal candidate is a first-rate storyteller with superb writing and editing skills. You are passionate about reporting on foreign places and highly complex issues in a manner that is accessible and engaging to all audiences. You are a social media guru, full stop. Your personal online presence demonstrates your knowledge of nuance across platforms, your flair for 140 characters, and your ability to cultivate 2-way conversations. You are a voracious reader eager to digest a daily dose of thinking on open government, international development, design, and much more. You are excited to make your mark on a rapidly growing organization.
This internship is paid, based in New York, and runs part-time from September to December 2013. The Social Media & Communications Intern will work closely with and report to the Director of Communications.
