Service Designer

Jeremy is Reboot’s resident technologist and human-computer interaction genii. He focuses on translating design research insights into innovative, intuitive, and useful user experiences.

Jeremy comes to Reboot from a career in civic tech where he has specialized in developing open government platforms. As an inaugural Code for America fellow, he served as product manager and lead interaction designer for CfA Commons, a marketplace for open innovation in city government. Earlier in his career, Jeremy worked for the United States Government Accountability Office leveraging open-source software to increase transparency and collaboration in public institutions.

Jeremy has led several award-winning app teams, including SnapFresh, which won first place at Applications for Good, and Market Guardians at Summer of Smart. More recently, PollWatch, a tool to crowdsource reporting problems at the polls on election day, took first prize at the PDF:Applied hackathon and was later deployed in New York City during the 2012 elections. Jeremy also co-founded the venture-backed mobile gaming company Phonagle, which produced outWord, a location-based word game that encourages players to explore their hometowns in search of letters.

Jeremy is a graduate of Virginia Tech. He also holds a Master of Science in Information from the University of Michigan, with a focus on human-computer interaction and social computing.
