Research Intern

Michal is an experienced computer systems designer and project manager who specializes in translating complex real world problems into manageable ideas and tasks. She is the happiest when she is able to establish effective and efficient solutions to voice the needs of marginalized communities. At Reboot, Michal supports project teams and client engagements through her background in conducting rigorous analytics with a humanistic approach.

Prior to moving to NYC, Michal served as the Director of Refugee Affairs for the Tel Aviv city government. There, Michal managed the programming, advocacy, and public services provision for over 20,000 refugees from Darfur, South Sudan, and Eritrea. Before that, she was a computer systems architect and project manager in the thriving Israeli high tech industry.

Michal earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science from the Technion, the Israeli Institute of Technology, one of the leading computer science departments in the world. Before transforming into a complete computer geek, Michal decided to pursue an additional undergraduate program in South and South East Asia studies, focusing on India through the lenses of cultural studies. Michal is currently a graduate student at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University, concentrating in Urban and Social Policy.
