Samantha is Reboot’s research process guru. She manages the design, execution, documentation, and presentation of Reboot’s research projects from start to finish.
Before joining Reboot, Samantha supported grassroots political development in Southeastern Europe and the Caucasus. Working with the Women’s Political Resource Center in the Republic of Georgia, she conducted extensive original research analyzing opportunities for internally displaced persons to have a stronger role in governance. As a Peace Fellow with The Advocacy Project in Kosovo, Samantha worked with the Network of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian Women’s Organizations of Kosovo to design and produce quilts advocating women’s rights. She also kept a lively blog documenting the experience.
Samantha is a frequent writer. Interviews she conducted of activists were included in Occupying Wall Street: The Inside Story of an Action that Changed America. Her work has also been featured in World Policy Journal, Journal of International Affairs, and The Morningside Post.
Samantha is a graduate of UCLA and holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where she served as Vice President of the Grassroots Policy Network. She is doggedly pursuing fluency in Russian and Spanish. She can tell you a thing or two about herding sheep in Italy, because she’s done that too.
