Finance and Operations Manager

We’re seeking a talented, analytical and detailed oriented Finance and Operations Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high performing team. As a maturing firm, our business structure is evolving rapidly. You will ensure Reboot’s financial operations remain nimble, efficient and accountable as we scale

The position is full-time with benefits, and is based in our New York City office. We would like someone (you?) to:

Finance:

  • Manage day-to-day finances of a rapidly growing professional services firm, including A/R, A/P, vendor payments, invoicing, forecasting, budgeting, cash management, financial planning & analysis

  • Drive financial planning, both long- and short-term including financial modeling, proactively identifying cost reductions, and monitoring adherence to project plans

  • Contribute to the development of detailed budgets for individual client projects and stand-alone programs

  • Work closely with the Director of Finance to produce monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of organization’s financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals

  • Serve as a financial auditor of Reboot sub-contractors, grantees and partners

  • Support Reboot’s external auditors throughout their review processes

  • Actively maintain financial records and perform bookkeeping entries in Quickbooks

Administration:

  • Administer payroll, employee benefits, and corporate insurance plans

  • Proactively organize and manage database of legal, fiscal, and administrative documentation

  • Organize employee option and ownership vesting schedules

  • Develop and oversee the policies and procedures for financial control and reporting that meet current and future business and regulatory requirement

  • Monitor and manage tax compliance in all local, state, national and international jurisdictions in which Reboot operates

Operations / HR:

  • Support our growth by screening and managing high-talent candidates through our recruiting pipeline

  • Work with the Communications team to actively identify career fair and talent recruitment opportunities

  • Manage corporate travel program in balance of supporting both operational and financial performance needs

  • Assist the Director of Operations in thea continued development of internal management systems, templates, policies, and HR practices

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a finance and administration role that included significant responsibility for organizational performance management (candidates with experience in the social sector are preferred)

  • Deep knowledge of finance and accounting principles, rules and regulations, with proficiency in a financial management software package (QuickBooks preferred) as well as spreadsheet and word processing tools

  • A Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

  • Fluency with software supported financial modeling

  • Demonstrable track-record of developing, designing, and improving financial and operational systems

  • A strategic mindset and outstanding organizational skills

  • The ability to work both independently and as an integral member of various teams

  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and deal with highly confidential information

  • A passion for getting details exactly right
