Position: Business Analyst

Reboot brings the power of great design to the challenges of our times. By aligning the resources of institutions with the needs of the people they serve, we design innovative new services and improve existing solutions across the globe.

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to help our socially oriented clients turn critical insights into expanded impact for their services and programs.

This role is built for an individual who defies convention. You should be comfortable with theory but your approach should be anchored in real world experience. You should have an entrepreneurial spirit, while being able to speak the language of traditional institutions. You should have the analytical skills to find new efficiencies for our clients, but must place empathy for users at the core of all you do.

This is a leadership role with significant opportunities for professional growth. You will be based in our New York office, but willing to travel internationally up to 20 percent of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Reboot’s multidisciplinary teams to design innovative organizational structures and service models that meet client goals and user needs.
  • Help clients discover strategic growth opportunities using a range of analytical frameworks, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Lead the financial analysis components of our design, implementation, and evaluation processes.
  • Identify and articulate new value propositions for our clients and their users.

Qualifications:

  • Distinctive problem solving abilities with a high degree of analytical rigor; proven experience in identifying opportunities for organizational improvement, and defining and measuring program success.
  • The ideal candidate is looking to use their expertise in one or more business areas (ie. operations, marketing, finance, or organizational behavior) and apply it to social challenges.
  • Entrepreneurial experience developing new products, businesses, or services; intrapreneurial experience inside a large, traditional organization (think: a government agency or multilateral) is also helpful.
  • Deep knowledge of the financial services sector and a comfort with quantitative analysis, with an ability to quickly get up to speed on new markets and subject areas.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to handle large data sets, and experience creating performance dashboards.
  • 3+ years of industry experience, with demonstrated growth over the course of your career; MBAs are welcome, but not required.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to teach business concepts to diverse audiences.
  • A creative mind with an appetite for new ideas and approaches.
