As Reboot enters our next phase of growth, we’re looking for an entrepreneurial Jack/Jane o’ many trades to help run our wild and wonderful agency. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable in a start-up environment and will be eager to grow with us as a company.
Responsibilities
Organizational Development
• Supporting our core staff and our team of experts and consultants that currently spans three continents.
• Maintaining and improving vendor relationships.
• Managing our internship program.
• Optimizing our organizational financial planning.
Project-Based
• Developing detailed project plans, including budgets, schedules, and staffing plans.
• Managing production of project deliverables.
• Ensure abnormally excellent performance of project teams.
Communications
• Develop and manage a corporate CRM system.
• Develop and manage an external communications strategy and platform.
• Manage production of all content on the theReboot.org.
Organizational Governance
• Manage organizational accounts.
• Maintain detailed project calendars and timelines.
• Manage all relevant external legal and financial systems and services.
Qualifications
• A distinct, no-jerk personality. Our team is made up of delightful people, and you must be one as well.
• An eagerness to work in a start-up environment. We want someone committed, who won’t mind pulling an all-nighter every once in a while when it’s worth it. The plus side: rewards are fairly shared. When we grow, you grow.
• Comfortable with controlled chaos. Changing deadlines and last-minute requests are all part of the game.
• Excellent at the details. We need to you to catch the things the rest of us miss.
• A willingness to invest in us as much as we’ll invest in you.
• Demonstrated experience in our core practice areas, and confidence in engaging with high-level projects, even those slightly outside your comfort zone.
• The ability to be self-directed and stay on task even when unsupervised.
Experience
We’re open to a wide range of profiles. This role may be suited for someone who has taken a more traditional career path, and is looking for a professional job in a vibrant, socially minded setting. A few musts we do need to see:
• A proven track record of successfully delivering on complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Demonstrated examples of risk-taking, even if things turned out poorly.
• Experience managing teams, both co-located and remote.
• Experience working with international partners and clients.
• Some experience with HTML and CSS would be a bonus.
Terms
This position is offered on a six-month contract to start, allowing everyone the opportunity to make sure the relationship is a good fit. We are, however, hoping to hire someone looking for a long-term engagement and who will grow with us. We’re looking for the ideal candidate to start immediately.
Reboot offers a competitive compensation package, with profit-sharing in addition to base salary. Again, when we benefit, so will you.
You’ll be working out of our lovely office in downtown Manhattan. For the right candidate, we’re willing to help with a transition to New York City.
